Painting with Perspective
The ubiquity of mobile devices gives everyone the possibility of becoming a star and redefined our notions of privacy. Even at this moment, someone could be recording your actions, making you the next accidental YouTube star.
Painting with Perspective abstractly explores documentation, memory and surveillance. Multiple cell phones have been placed on the floor. Some are being worn while others are fixed to walls. All of them are taking continuous photos and importing the real time photos into a painting tool. Participants can choose a perspective via a mobile device and make a real time collage of the multiple vantage points. Click here for collage samples.
