ZoneTag Mapping sees the world through the eyes of ZoneTag users leveraging community knowledge. As the ZoneTag community grows and builds upon the Flickr user base, they amass tags which can be aggregated to physical locations on a map. In mapping out this data, we start to build a subjective, metadata based map of the world as the community sees it. We biked to every stop on the New York City subway's R line and took a ZoneTag photograph at each location. ZoneTag then translated our photographs to Flickr tags allowing us to build a map of the MTA R Line as ZoneTag sees it.
